Information reaching GME Reporters and Sources right now is that INEC has rule that the Edo2010 election that has bee scheduled for September 10 2016 will go on as planned.
The APC and the security agencies had held a press conference at Abuja where they advised that the election should be postponed due to “security concerns”.
The PDP objected to it and said that Edo was relatively safe and there was no security threat. The INEC had yesterday said it was prepared to go ahead with the election because everything needed to conduct the election had arrived.
INEC went into anorher meeting this morning to review the advise of the National Security agencies. They rose from a meeting where a decision to go ahead was taken.
Consequently, the election will go on as planned for September 10.
