The Enogie (Duke) of Eyaen Dukedom in Benin city, HRH A.O. Iduriase, has disgraced the APC candidate, Godwin Obaseki, we the latter went to Eyaen to campaign for votes.
When the Campaign organization of Godwin Obaseki visited Eyaen, the Enogie ordered that it was a taboo to allow an enemy of Eyaen entry into the Palace for any reason.
Godwin Obaseki was stopped at the entrance to the palace by palace guards apparently on the orders of the great Duke.
The visibly angry Royal father is reported to have reigned abuses on the APC governorship aspirant on hearing that he was at the gate.
“The Obaseki’s have been enemies of the Eyaen Kingdom for over a century” He was reported to have said.
The Duke said that he wasn’t going to allow a curse rest on the community by allowing Godwin Obaseki desecrate the Palace.
Disappointed, Obaseki left Eyaen community and went to Aduwawa with his campaign team where he met a small crowd of APC members in the area.
