Reports reaching Us From Our Source indicate that a major crack has happened in the camps of Governor Godwin Obaseki and former governor Adams Oshiomhole over handling of the tribunal proceeding and power sharing among loyalists of both camps.
That crack is beginning to widen as an APC stalwart in Edo state and former Senior Special Assistant, an alleged thug and merchant of terror, to the former governor, Osakpanwan Eriyo, also known as No-more-less, has been arrested at the Edo State Police Headquarters in Benin City.
It was gathered that the APC Secretary who was the former Head of Bendel Brewery who allegedly wrecked the company under Igbinedion and Oshiomhole, Mr. Osaro Idah, and another allegedly notorious merchant or terror, Mr. Lawrence Okah, both of them being APC leaders, laid the complain that led to the arrest of all Oredo APC leaders including the No-more-less.
Thus, Nomoless and seven others have been detained and their trials are expected to begin today for allegedly threatening the lives of APC leaders, ostensibly over sharing formula of the resources of Edo state viz, where the governor is allged to have taken from him and given to another his area of control among then uncared-for parks and garages in Benin metropolis. This crisis, our investigation reveals, finally blew out when the the APC stalwarts were sharing the cows and monies that Obaseki gave “the boys” for Christmas and a fight ensued which led to threats to life that led to other ‘confessions’ that necessitated the arrest and detention.

Residents of Edo State are beginning to feel that the breeding crisis between the governor and his predecessor is growing faster than envisaged.
Insider sources say that the governor started to demonstrate his resolve to be his own man and not pander to the whims and caprices of his predecessor hence he has asked his deputy, Philip Shaibu, who used to take front row beside him to henceforth take position after his Secretary, Barr Ogie, in public photographs. Hitherto, Shaibu used to stand beside the governor in public functions but the Governor has repeatedly directed his protocol to reverse the standing pattern to have Ogie stand beside him instead of Shaibu.

Our Sources investigation revealed that the former governor has kept studied silence at the development and his next line of action remain a matter of conjecture.
The APC suspect that Eriyo will give evidence against their party when the tribunal starts hearing the Edo State gubernatorial election petition in January hence they have resolved to ‘take him out’ by all means possible.
Osakpamwen Eriyo, aka No-More-Less, is a prominent All Progressive Congress (APC) youth leader in Edo State from Oredo LGA. He was caught on camera snatching ballot boxes at the George Idah Primary School Ward Collation Centre along Ihama road, GRA, Benin City during the September 28 2016 election.
Osakpamwen, according to, eye witnesses, led his thugs to the school premises while ward collection was going on, he first of all tried to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials to alter the results to favour APC. The move was however resisted by the PDP and INEC officials at the centre.
He then brought out a gun and shot into the air. As a result of the commotion that ensued, he, along with his men were able to snatch all the ballot boxes and ballot papers used for the election.
While, he was still trying to snatch the voting materials, the PDP agents rushed to lock the gates to the school compound. On getting to the gate, Osakpanmwen instructed one of the Hilux vans on his convoy to knock the gate down.
Surprisingly, all the policemen at the centre made no effort to resist him because of his famed closeness to the former governor and their alleged compromise.
Meanwhile, the trial of Nomoless is planned to start today and this is causing serious rift within the ruling APC in Edo state, many of whom are still loyal to the former governor and others unhappy with the current governor for his passing a budget without appointment of commissioners.
