Governor Obaseki of Edo stat
The embattled governor of Edo State, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, has taken possession of 11.390 billion Naira from the federal government of Nigeria, as Edo state share of the Paris Club  Refund  to  Nigeria, which former President Olusegun Obasanjo overpaid in his tenure.
The money has been released to Edo State already but neither Obaseki nor his aides have announced this nor have they used the money to pay the backlog of Local Government Area councils salaries and emuluments or pensioners all of who were part of those from whom the funds to pay the Paris debt was deducted from.
Civil society groups in Edo state are spoiling for a showdown should Obaseki not be transparent about government revenues like Oshiomhole.
Governor Obaseki is embattled with tribunal case where his victory is contested by the People’s Democratic Party which believes it won the September 28 2016 Edo state election.
We shall break you more details as they come
